Headcel HEC for facial mask products
HEC is widely used as a thickener in facial mask. A smaller addition ratio can achieve a good thickening effect. Simultaneously, it has a good synergistic effect with other components.
In addition to acting as a thickener, HEC can soften sheet of the facial mask. At present, most of the fabric substrates on the market are cellulose fibers such as Tencel, viscose, copper ammonia, etc. The addition of HEC in the formula can soften the sheet and make the mask more fitting to the face, which is a characteristic that other thickeners find difficult to achieve.
We suggest adding an amount of around 0.5%, which needs to be adjusted by the formulator based on the overall requirements of the formula and the weight of the sheet.
